That's a fantastic photo!!! We have some called leafwings but they resemble a leaf when their wings are closed...not opened like yours. What's that one called? I'd like to read more about it.

Well I wish I knew but don't have any guide to Colombian moths yet.

Perfect camouflage. It looks like a leaf to me (except for the symmetrical curves across the middle, from end to end). Thank you for all the interesting and beautiful pictures of Columbian butterflies and moths.
