| I'd really like to plant an amsonia this year for the butterflies. I really like the color and the blooms in general. There are lots of different species of ansomia. Which kind do the butterflies prefer the most for you?? |

| The best selection of Amsonia's that I have found is the Lazy S Farm and Nursery. I have been growing the Amsonia tabernaemontana (Blue Dogbane-Willow Blue Star) and it is a plant with nice foliage and long lasting blooms. Blooms are of an over-flexed star shape and an unusual pale blue. It is stated that it is a host plant for the Coral Hairstreak but, so far, I have not had a Coral Hairstreak in my garden.
