I get the same thing, Cathy. Clicking on the "x" box over-rides it and allows it to come through, but it is annoying.

Thanks for replying, Bob. I wasn't sure if it was our computer or the forum but considering that it's only doing it on GW, I kind of doubted that it's the computer. Hopefully it won't be doing it for weeks on end (I think I first noticed it sometime yesterday).

It has been driving me nuts for a couple days. Garden Web posted an advisory around 14:30 today. They are working on it. Disabling java script is a workaround.

kc, Yeah, it was pretty much driving me nuts too. I'd click on a thread title and then have to sit there and wait awhile for the unresponsive script to pop up and then close it out, etc. I guess I've become spoiled with this modern technology and get impatient waiting. Ha. I hope that it's fixed now.

Garden Web started going screwy on me again yesterday. Using Firefox, a page will load but then go blank with the message "Transferring data from secure.quantserve.com..." appearing at the bottom of the page. And there it sits.

Now using IE but it is very slow.

And now a thread sits at the top of the list that has not been updated since 2010. Weird.

Found out that many people were having the same problem as me across the Web. They call it the WYSIWYG problem because a second page, with a WYSIWYG address, auto loads from cache and then things come to a halt. A couple fixes work for some but not everyone. The very weird thing about it is it affects very few websites. GardenWeb was the only site I had a problem with. I did a workaround by using IE.

Today I found out that Firefox quit updating version 3 as of April 24. So to protect myself from bad websites, I had to upgrade. Firefox's new version system is up to version 12 now. Loaded it and now GardenWeb seems to be working fine. Just gotta get used to the new Firefox look now.

So then I tried to post the above and it would not work. I played with the Java settings and hopefully it posts this time.
