Mine are still safely ensconced in their cage on the front porch. No eclosures yet.

Congrats, Laura! Are you seeing lots of Butterflies in your area of Eastern Oklahoma?

Susan, not really. I'm currently in Phoenix where I'm seeing more, but at home, I'd only seen an occasional cabbage white or either yellow or orange sulfur.

A second swallowtail eclosed shortly after I posted this. Another female. I left the lid to the cage open while we are out in case the other three decided to appear.

I released a male over the weekend (my first for the spring) and given the high sustained south winds, he probably started in Dallas and ended up in Tulsa, so maybe he'll find that girl ;-)

Hehehe! We're having high winds here, too.
My last black swallowtail emerged this morning, a female, and these winds will probably send her to Dallas or Tulsa, also. That male may wind up with a harem! :)
I released my one and only overwintering spicebush swallowtail yesterday, a female, which is good, because there's a lonely male that keeps flying around here all by himself.
The red-spotted purple overwintering caterpillar is in the "J" now - yay!

Released my first BST this morning - female - and have about 14 more to go.

I saw another Red Admiral yesterday at my daughter's house, basking on a very large Holly.
