Wild Milkweed

I'm trying to find a place to get wild milkweed seeds. I grew up in southern Oregon, and as a child I always saw the orange and black caterpillars that I assume were monarchs. They fed on what we called milkweed, a 3-ft-tall weed with a purple flower/seedhead and a milky sap. It grew in fields and roadsides.
I have an uncultivated part of my yard where I would like to sow milkweed and leave it to spread and feed the caterpillars.
