Spring is finally here!!

Spring has sprung finally in Southern WI and it felt good to get out in the garden, rake and assess what is coming up already...
My Anaphalis and Antennaria are sprouting, and so are my Wood Nettles. The Nodding Onions are already making their appearance, as are the Irises and Blue eyed Grass.
All of the Penstemon survived and are in good shape.
Even my Torch Lily survived. All the Catmint and Agastache are showing signs of activity, as well as some of the early Salvias.
And also my beloved Rhubarb is making a comeback.
All in all, a pretty good day, after a long arduous Winter. And warm weather is predicted for all this week :) YAY

I'm happy for you. It seemed like a long time coming, no?

Warm weather is on the way and it will soon be good to be in Wisconsin ? again.

Wow. You've got lots more sprouting in your zone 4 than I do in zone 5/6. I wonder if the heavy layer of snow really slowed my garden down. My only sunny space is along the road, so my entire garden was covered by a heavy load of snow from the plows. It's only been completely melted off for a week or so. Hopefully future years won't have quite as much snow.

Yes, life is good again...
My part time job I love resumes this coming Monday and I have another job on the side...both involve butterfly gardens :-D
I just hope I can keep up c 3 jobs...
Our snow is completely gone now, though I still see a little frozen ground here and there. Highs in the upper 50s and mid 60s all this week :) I'm just waiting to see my first American Lady or Red Admiral ELF...ETA around three weeks or so as soon as the host plants grow in.
