Ha! we had a bst recently who went behind a book and attached to the pages, so that the silk sealed the book closed. And of course, it was our butterfly guide book!

OMG! ROTFLMAO! How funny, and what a storyteller you are! Love it, love it, love it!

Anyone remember when CalSherry used to be here and tell us the funniest stories about where her caterpillars wandered off to???? I sure miss her, too. Sherry raised her butterflies in her bathroom, and she was always finding them in "strange" places.

I had a female polyphemus appear in my house on Saturday. No clue where her cocoon is hiding. I must have been lax in keeping track of caterpillars last year while cleaning aquariums. I believe she is the fourth silk moth to appear from thin air in my house this year.

I have two cats outside that are on a rue plant on my porch. I have been keeping an eye on them this morning since I know they will probably start wandering soon. I just wanted to clean out the aquarium before I added them to the others. Wouldn't you know one just had to go wandering within 30 minutes of me checking. I have yet to find it and since it is outside, might not be successful. Those fellows are fast!

kcclark: Oh my, that would have scared the heck outta me! Although they are beautiful, (I raised a poly once), moths kind of freak me out. Being surprised by one...oy!

Weed -

I spent yesterday evening doing inventory of all my cocoons I just brought inside. I put them all in aquariums and butterfly pavilions. Sat down to watch the 11 PM news. Noticed something big flying around my dark kitchen. Ended up with a male poly. No clue where it came from. Second one this week. It is like I had a leak in one of my aquariums last year. We are thinking about moving and my wife was thinking out loud about what the new owners would do if large moths suddenly appeared in the house. :D
