We returned from Wetumpka,Al Tuesday morning after spending
6 days in the RV park on the Coosa & Tallapoosa river junction.

I saw butterflies in the park( mainly Red-spotted purples),and
Some wildflowers.

Since I read other BGs did it I took my butterfly garden new
Plantings with me in their containers so I could water them.
I also carried water in gallon jugs to keep them hydrated
As these plants are not used to chlorine.

The plants returned home in good shape, and
Taking them on the trip was less trouble than
I thought it would be.

Monday night the storm cell moved across us(in the park).
We were set up close to the river bank side which has
Lots of large shade trees.Everyone went to bed on the
Watch, and the park hosts(who live in the park in their
RV' s)were going to monitor the storm cells.

Abt 2 o'clock in the morning after lots of lightning and
Rain we heard them pounding on our door to get us
Up to leave our RV and run or drive to the designated
Shelter.I went in my pajamas, sandals, and a terry cloth
Robe,grabbing a couch throw as I left.
My husband put on his jeans, took his wallet, keys,
And a shirt; we ran out in the rain to the truck.

I think almost everyone was there(at the shelter)
Soon, and we all sat around talking, some of us
Pretty damp.We stayed there abt an hour
And we were lucky as the tornado showed
Up on radar but never touched the ground.

If other shelter is available I would never stay
In a RV under a tornado warning.
