Introduction & Butterfly Bush Help!

Oaklie

I cleaned out an area in my garden and started a new butterfly garden this year. My butterfly bush I planted last weekend looks really bad. It is really wilted.

I have been watering it every day...is there anything else I can do to help the little guy along? I live in Houston, Texas.

I also planted Fennel, Dill, and Parsley. I already have milkweed with tons of baby cats already on them (I might have to go pick up some more) I also have a lemon tree and 2 passionflower vines. Thank goodness for those Gulf Fritillary caterpillars, or my yard would be overtaken by those vines. I also have a Clerodendrum ugandense. Hopefully all of these combined will bring in more butterflies!

This will be my 3rd year of butterfly gardening. I used to raise the Monarch's inside, but it got to be too much work. Now I am letting them do their own thing outside. Plus, it is kind of hard to raise butterflies indoors when you have 3 nosy cats!
