Susan, that is a dandelion.

I was using a 36mm extension tube on my long telephoto so I could shoot the photo from a few feet away. Will try the 20mm tube today and see how it works.

Just a FYI on the tubes. I bought this set off eBay from Hong Kong. Even with freight they were about $20.00 cheaper anywhere here in the US. Only downside was waiting about two weeks on delivery. No biggie to me though.

Has anyone else had the healthiest, most robust dandelions show up this year? I'd swear this cold winter was like a dose of steroids for them!
