Those are beautiful pictures of some beautiful and interesting critters, purpleroses! And I love that music - sounds like mountain fiddles!

What is that pretty little yellow, black and rose pink moth? Looks like something that doesn't occur here.

What fun that was!!! Thanks for sharing. And being on the other coast, that's the first time I saw some of those butterflies.

The tiger moth pictured in the slideshow most closely matches the Mexican Tiger Moth, Notarctia proxima, rather than the more numerous Grammia species. There are many records from California.
