I am in Chicago - Zone 5. I have a question about growing Russell Lupin from seed.

I have followed general tips about soaking seeds up to 24 hours before sowing them into outdoor soil.

Last weekend I have sow seeds in outdoor flower bed.

Someone told me that it is not the right time to sow seeds. I have already sow seeds so now time to wait and watch but just for my knowledge, do they germinate at all if I sow them in May? Or just won't show up?

Any tips that can help germinate those seeds will be greatly appreciated.

Let me know if I need to follow any extra steps or any kind of guidance that can help me grow them outdoor.
