Black Swallowtail eggs finally...

dragonflydee

I had a nice big mass of Fennel ready for weeks and the winter sowing of
Dill had fllled out and reached enough height to attract her, also the every
Year "volunteer" Dill had sprouted up at random among everything else
That lives snugged up to the outside concrete wall of my kidney-shaped
Gunite swimming pool. This is the pool I turned into a Dragonfly water garden
Because my arthritis got worse and I would rather lie in hot water than swim in cold!Anyway,I have lots of strong and beautiful Gladioli that have lived against the wall and increased their numbers on their own for a number of
Years now plus 3 butterfly weed Tubers who today are showing orange to
Burst into bloom soon. The mixed flower beds alongside this wall do appear
To get some protection in terms of wind and chill because of this thick, wide
And flattop wall.So...she came alone(I have seen no others)and went all
Around laying eggs. She was a little faded, but not tattered and I think maybe
Close to the end of her flight time.So now I have to decide what to do.
I raised over 20 one season and released almost all using a 55 gal tank
With screen top inside the house.I am not sure what will happen if I leave
Them on the plants.
