Cedar mulch in a butterfly garden

Garvs

Hey folks. New kid here so go gently on me! I have probably a silly question regarding butterfly gardening. It's something I have really taken to the last couple years both with work (small lawn/landscape biz) and especially in my spare time. Its a great feeling to be responsible for attracting wildlife to your home. Kids are fascinated with it. Anyway blah blah...I may have made a big mistake by adding cedar mulch to my garden area. Its insect repelling qualities (supposedly) made me want to try it out. Dumb, impulsive me didn't consider the possibilities of repelling butterflies and other benificial insects as well. Looks great, but I'm worried I won't get the usual visitors. Should I let it go and see? Take it all out (ugh)? Anyone have any first hand experience with this? Thanks in advance!
