Variegated Fritillary eggs

Remind me... are the variegated frit eggs white? and really small? If so, I think I have several. They are mostly just one per leaf and right in the middle of the top side of a leaf. I raised a few of these last year but for some reason I can't recall what the egg looked like.

Yes, Laura, they're small and white and imbedded pretty deeply in the top of the leaf, usually in the middle.

This picture is poor, but it's the only one I have -

I thought this was the only picture I had, but I saw another better one of mine on another post. I think I need to check my pictures!

I have now seen the female visiting three different times! I hope this passion vine starts growing quickly!

Laura, if you need pieces of the passion vine to feed the cats, just call me. I rip out vines almost everyday.

So exciting to think of having Variegated Frits! Thanks Sherry for that pic. I have had adult VF butterflies here in my yard, but have never yet had eggs or cats on my Passionvine. I am in zone 7a Laura and my Passionvine is just now taking off really well. I think it just needs heat.

Ok, Laura, I'm serious!
