Help with Monarchs

I'm going to be working on a large area for milkweed (planning at least 25-30 plants possibly more) I've done them in pots in the past and due to our high number of Monarchs in the summer, I know I need to put in far more than I normally do to sustain the number of caterpillars.

What I'm wondering, is there anything I should use or put up for when they go to make their chrysalis? The ones we have had in the past have always done theirs on the pots the plants were in, but seeing as there will be no pots this time around, I'm wondering what the best thing to do would be. I'd like to provide something safe for them to use.
