Sedum is a host plant for the Variegated Fritillary (Euptoieta claudia) & Buckeye (Junonia coenia) butterfly caterpillars. It looks more like a Buckeye. I had read that Buckeyes use Sedum, but have never seen it.

That may be itâ¦.the problem is, when I went back to look at him, he had movedâ¦..??? I hope it is a buckeye. Maybe he'll come out of hiding later!!
