Why is it out during the day if it's a moth?! How dare it confuse me like that! Lol

There are quite a few moths that fly during the day. Several of them even have the common name "day moth". They feed at flowers. Try doing a search for "day moth".

Of course most moths fly at night. There are none commonly called "night moth" (except for artistic namings) because it would be too confusing.

Whenever you cannot identify something that acts like a butterfly, consider looking through images of moths, although it might be faster just asking on the forum, because there are like 12,000 moths and only a few hundred butterfly species in the U.S.
