Photos of my butterfly garden.....

Thought I'd share a few photos of my new butterfly garden with everyone.
This first one is early May when I've just begun to plant and the seed that I'd sown earlier beginning to show up. There daylilies mostly on the right side of the mulch walkway and butterfly plants on the left side.
View from the other end of the walkway taken a little later in May.
One taken on the 19th of June.
This one taken on the 28th of June.
And this one taken yesterday.
I've got several kinds of rubeckia, coneflowers, mexican sunflowers, pintas, agastache, cleome, cosmos, salvias, dill, 2 kinds of parsley, fennel, coreopsis, galardia, catmint, and probably others that I've left out. Anyway, I found Black Swallowtail cats on my dill this week, so I guess the butterflies approve. :)
Hope you enjoyed looking. There's lots more of my garden photos at the following link. Just look for the albums titled "Angel Acres Garden #1, #2, & #3."

| Very pretty country garden. Is that a brugmansia to the right of the last picture? Congratulations on the swallowtail larvae. Tithonia rotundiflora is a butterfly magnet. Edna |

Thanks Edna, and yes that is a brug. I have the tithonia. I' ve grown it before and remember how the butterflys love it. Just across the way, I also have 2 Harlequinn Glorybower trees which are butterfly magnets too. I forgot to mention that I also hav butterfly weed and zinnias planted in the new garden area. :) Jan |

| So beautiful! Very inspiring! I would love to make a garden like that with a walk way through it--do you have pea gravel down or mulch? Thank you for sharing! |

What a beautiful garden! The flowers are beautiful, and it's so well tended. Congrats on the swallowtail cats - you'll love watching the butterfly life cycle! Sherry |

| You've got a very nice garden Jan. Thanks for sharing the pictures of it. After 19 years on the desert I sure miss lush, green country acreage. |
