Congrats! I saw my first Zebra Swallowtail this year too.
How big are your pawpaw trees and have you check for eggs/cats?

My pawpaws are anywhere from 6' to 20' tall. I looked for caterpillars but didn't see any on the leaves down low. I see a lot of chewed up leaves, but no sign of cats, yet. I wouldn't know what the eggs looked like.

Zebra swallowtail eggs are green with a characteristic reddish circle around them. Here's a picture -

Zebra swallowtail cats move around all over the tree/bush regularly, so you might have some - keep looking. If I had to guess, I'd say your butterfly is a female, since her white stripes are on the thin side and her dark stripes thick - that's just a guess, though.

It's good to know an eight year old pawpaw can be 20 feet tall. Let us know if you find any cats.
I had several pawpaw seeds that had been in my fridge for at least a couple years and winter sowed four seeds in containers and stuck the rest in the ground at the edge of our hayfield. I now have 3 seedlings in containers on my patio that I will plant this fall. I think 3 out of four isn't bad for old seeds. I haven't looked to see if any of the others come up by the hayfield. They would be hard to find.
