Butterfly Milkweed?

I was pulling some plants that had sprouted in my garden, but when this type broke at the stem a lot of milky sap came out so I have mostly let it be.
So far, it doesn't seem to flower. If I squeeze one of the little bulbs on the top, I find that they are full of sap too.
Does anyone know if this is a variety of milkweed that butterflies like? Or is it something else? I'm in central Texas if that helps.
