Surprise lilies attract a lot of butterflies

I think there are 4 species but the butterflies are related, possibly in the same genus. I did not know surprise lilies attract these. Pictures taken in southern China.

I think lycoris is called surprise lilies.

I also know them by the common names of resurrection lily and naked ladies. My guess is because the foliage dies back and the fact that they have no lower foliage just a stem.

I had them in our yard by the previous owners. I did not notice the leaves. So I did not know if the leaves came before or after ... I only noticed the flowers. It was a big surprise for me.

BTW, can you ID the butterfly below. I think it is an African butterfly:

I'm not great at IDing foreign butterflies. Have you located a field guide for your area or a website? Sorry.
