Blacktail Swallowtails, 16 of them

I planted dill and fennel in hopes to get Blacktail swallowtail catepillars and to my surprise and delight, discovered I had 16 of them on my dill! I put them in two pails with some of the dill, as I saw wasp flying around them. I hope they did not get parasited already. Anyways, I am afraid I might not have enough food for them, do they eat other things other than dill, fennel or carrot tops?

I am going to check out different greenhouses on my lunch hour today and hopefully buy some more dill and fennel.

Parsley and rue (oddly) are other hosts for black swallowtails.

Congrats on the cats!

The tops of carrots (the green leafy top) is another food source for the black swallowtail.
