This morning I was out in the garden just inspecting as I always do, and I check sporadically through my milkweed for eggs even though I've seen not hide nor hair of a Monarch all season (except at Sandy's house.)
Well what do you know... I come across one solitary egg. I inspect the entire plant as well as others near by and find nothing but the one egg. I knew that once they "found it" they would come back and sure enough as I stood there, here she came, fluttering over the back fence and quickly swooped down and left me another egg.
My husband was out there and proceeded to frighten her off... but no doubt she'll be back!
So excited to have an opportunity to raise more!!!
