an exciting first

Yesterday I was planning to wrap the first ever flower on my Indian Milkweed to save the seed pods when they begun to open. There are still a few flowers and I found a very small monarch larva feeding on the flower. I cut off that bloom and a couple of leaves. The cat is now in a sterile container in my kitchen. The interesting thing is he is doing golden frase. I looked at it through a 30 power scope and it is frase. I have never heard of a larva eating pollen.
