Feasting on...the spot in the yard the dogs keep peeing on. Glad I spend so much on flowers!

Tigers like to nectar on the ground about as well as on flowers.

Wonderful shot! I just love them. They really can be so large, and I think that they are more tolerant of close human presence than other species.

They are one of the more common visitors every year and usually gravitate to the zinnia, this was a first for me! I just love them. This went on for a while, and it seemed completely oblivious to the world around. I was able to get really close and in fact, had it crawling on my hand for a bit. Long enough to show my little neighbor that it won't attack him, he was afraid of it.
