| I could hardly contain myself this morning when I went to my screen room and saw that a PST had emerged! It's my first - and it's beautiful!!! It never totally opened its wings wide so I could get a good picture, but I'm excited at the ones I got before turning him loose.
Wow! |

He's gorgeous, Sherrie! Don't you love raising them? They're the most interesting caterpillars! Another male pipevine swallowtail has been nectaring in my garden this morning, and this one is newly emerged - I've raised enough of them to know what that looks like, so he's not the same one that was here recently. When am I ever going to get a female? I love the males, but they don't leave red eggs! Sherry |
