Plant Spicebush and they will come ...

... well, at least twice. :-)

I have NEW baby Spicebush Swallowtails in new nests on the in-ground spicebush plants! The little potted spicebush plant up on the deck is just now putting out new leaves at the tips of the branches so my initial thought is that spicebush doesn't recover very fast. I don't see any beginnings of leaves along the branches so maybe it will only grow from the branch tips until next spring? ... re potted it last night, hoping it would provide a boost to leaf production.

This year is turning into a very good year for me, except for the lack of Monarchs. Haven't seen a one nor found any eggs ... need to be ready this fall to raise all the Monarch eggs I can find.
