Martha, I know, we up in the north are on a tight timeline for Monarchs.. they start to move south in August.. and I am raising ONE in July.... I have not found other eggs..... worried...

Goodness sakes! What a find that was!!!! Congrats, and thanks for sharing that. Talk about great timing. You got him before he had even turned to eat his egg case. Neato!

Cool beans!! I have seen two other Monarchs, prob my releases, but have had no ELFs. Sad time for butterflies here in Wisconsin; I have seen precious few. I keep hoping that things will change and things are just late. I have tons of host food and gallons of nectar and I'm playing to an empty house:( Maybe I'll see positive results of all our efforts in Autumn this year. I'd like to see a lot more Monarchs than I'm seeing.

Only saw my first monarch about 3 weeks ago, and nothing since. Major bummer.
