Enjoying my new hobby, thanks to GardenWeb.

So, it started last year when I read somewhere that Monarch butterfly caterpillars needed milkweed to feed. When I saw some tropical milkweed at a garden center I thought it was pretty and put some in my yard. This year it re-seeded prolifically, and I have a nice bed of it in a corner of my garden. So last week when I saw a monarch flying around I got curious about its life cycle and did a little googling. Which brought me here. And now I have four monarch caterpillars in containers on my dining room table. My five-year-old nephew is my excuse since he is my "partner" in the butterfly project. So anyway, I was at a garden center today walking past the parsley plants when I turned to my sister and said "the people on GardenWeb look for caterpillars on plants at garden centers" and lo and behold, I looked down and who was staring right up at me?

Now he's on my dining room table too!
