| I don't know exactly what your caterpillar is - there are SO many caterpillars out there! But by the shape of the body, it almost has to be in the Notodontidae/prominent family of moths. It most closely resembles the double-toothed prominent and the northern finned prominent. They all make plain moths. Thanks for posting the interesting picture! Sherry |

| I was going to say the same thing, MissSherry - double-toothed prominent. I find them on elm leaves a lot. Quite a fascinating caterpillar in appearance for such a plain moth. Susan |
