Update on BSW & Monarch Cats

Posted by treehugger100 z6MD (My Page) on

Here are 2 pics as promised. I found 2 tiny baby BST cats today and one Monarch baby just hatched. I am down to 3 Luna babies too small for pics yet. I am trying other leaves. As for the Monarchs, one has attached himself to the plastic ceiling in my butterfly habitat. I have a great branch in there but he would not use it. Will attaching to plastic hurt him? I have the others just ready to hang, too. Thanks!!!

BST. The pics look blurry here but not in photoshop. Maybe I should not resize?

Cool I love black swallowtails. How are the Luna's doing?

RE: Update on BSW & Monarch Cats

The Lunas are not doing at all. They chose to starve to death rather than eat the black walnut leaves. That is all I have on our property of the preferred list. It looks like I lost two more and so am down to 1 and he will probably go to. It's really sad. I was so excited to raise Lunas because I love them and have never done so.

Two very beautiful caterpillar photos.
