Does it help to extend the flowering season on milkweed by deadheading or don't they respond to it? Thanks

RE: Deadheading Milkweed

Maybe, but the best thing we can all do is promote seeding and spread as much Milkweed around for the Monarch as possible. Beef up your own collection, and offer seeds or seedlings to friends, family, neighbors and coworkers.
Organizations such as Monarch Watch are looking for seed donations so they can seed unused areas such as roadway medians, etc. You can also offer your seed bounty to members of this forum. You can trade for other seeds as well. The more Milkweed, the better.

Spread the word and spread the 'Weed!!

John
