Observation about Monarch Nectar Plants

dbarron

I was collating a list of plants that I typically saw Monarchs on and I found something interesting (though possibly meaningless and coincidental). Part of it may lie with the fact that the greatest Monarch activity I see is the fall migration wings.
As I made my list, I noticed that the plants that seemed to attract Monarchs the most, were usually in the blue/purple spectrum, though some were also yellow.
Is this a decent observation?
This suprised me, primarly because we're always moaning there isn't enough blues in our gardens. Surprising to see that there WERE so many blues that Monarchs seemed to like.
Welcoming thoughts here.....
