That is a main reason I bring them inside to raise.
Are you able to bring them inside.?

Thank you lellie for caring about the Monarch cats. Those little ones are particularly special to all of us butterfly-aholics. Wasps are one of the main predators of butterfly caterpillars. It helps to remember though that it's really just about the circle of life. Everything is there in nature for a reason, one thing sustaining another. And, everything has some value, even though we humans may not always feel that it's readily apparent. Because of the special migration circumstances of the Monarchs, they really do need our help more than most other butterfly species do. That is why we bring them into containers to raise them. We feel that it helps to ensure the continuation of the species. There are many different ways of hand raising Monarch caterpillars, but the main goal is always the same. Thats one reason why I started bringing them in. I was in my garden weeding and witnessed a wasp carrying off one of my caterpillars. I tried to catch the wasp but couldn't. Until I started this I had no idea that wasps ate other animals. I just thought they went after nectar. Ugh. No idea.
