Butterfly Garden

I have several plants in bloom to attract butterflies. No butterflies are showing up. I did have a lone monarch show up and laid several which. The eggs hatched into caterpillars, but they have disappeared. Don't know if something got the caterpillars or they made it to the next stage. I am hoping that its just been too hot for the butterflies. I do have a couple of bumble bees hanging around. Guess I will have to wait for the weather to cool off before the butterflies show up.

Marilyn,
I'm southwest of Williston about 15 miles from the Gulf. I've had more types of butterflies this year than ever before. But they seem to come together and leave together. The only ones that I seem to have all the time are frits, zebra longwings, sulphurs and skippers. I'll try to shoo some your way..

Thanks, I have several Pentas, butterfly bushes, salvia, lantana, and a large firespike all blooming. Still no takers! Maybe I am just not outside at the time they show up. Although I am in and out several times a day.
