Butterfly Garden

I'm seeing a lot of these bugs on the plants in my garden, including those that cloudless sulphurs and gulf frits have laid eggs on. Does anybody know what it is?

It is an immature Katydid, it will grow lots bigger.. I did a google search for immature katydid and pics like yours popped up

I love their songs. I hope they won't interfere with eggs or cats!

Thanks for the ID! I see big katydids off and on, as a matter of fact, there was a big one that hung out on the gate for a long time. I got a picture of it, but deleted it, because it was just a katydid. It had a big snout-like thing that protruded from the front of its 'face'. So maybe it was hanging out laying eggs? :)

I've been looking up katydids, and they say they can eat vegetable or animal matter - no help there. :/
