I'm so happy for you! And also to know that there are still Monarchs in the area. I just released most of my brood. I have four left to emerge, and I put them outside on the bushes near our front door. I hope I'll see more yet this year, but I'm grateful I had as much activity as I did.

Martha, it was so bad and my milkweed was going to the bugs, I had so given up on the Monarchs this season. When I saw this female flitting among my milkweed and I KNEW she was laying eggs... I have to admit.. I may have shed a tear or two.... this is so important... if we let the small things slip away.. how long before we wonder why the big stuff is gone also.... anyway... happy.. happy.. happy here.

What wonderful news. I am sure you'll take real good care of those babies.

Natures Folly,
Unfortunately, what we refer to as the "small stuff" that's disappearing is actually the vital stuff that keeps everything we take for granted going. The number of pollinators in my garden is way down. As a result, many of the flowers I enjoy are not setting seed this year. If that happens across the board, we won't produce any fruits or vegetables, or food for our livestock. Then where will we be. The small stuff is actually really big stuff.
