Butterfly Garden

So, for my butterfly garden I have planted milkweeds, cosmos bright lights, butterfly bushes, lantana, pentas, zinnias, rudbeckias, rue, parsley, dill, and guess what the butterflies go for? The roses!!!! What butterfly garden list includes roses??? Oh well, it looks great and they do like the milkweed!

They love the coneflowers and Mex sunflowers as well. :)

Thanks for the link! I forgot to add my purple coneflowers to the list that they don't touch lol! Yesterday I shopped for Mexican sunflowers...couldn't find them here in So CA!

My monarchs love my roses as well, they will go on it to rest and sunbath in the ray of the sun. I haven't seen them nectaring on the roses yet.

Maybe they are just resting on the roses, but they seem to go for the buds. I sure wish they would partake in the wonderful spread I have provided for them! I planted yarrow yesterday...we'll see!!!
