Riding Milkweed of aphids

I have Milkweeds that are starting to get aphids. Unlike last year, I've been monitoring my Milkweeds on a daily basis and picking them off as seen. However, last weekend I was out of town and came home to a significant amount. I probably got 95% of them but I'm sure there were some still hiding.

What are you using to rid your Milkweeds of these pests or techniques. There has got to be an easier way.

Also, is there a time of year they stop appearing?

Manually removing is the safest way.
After carefully checking for eggs and cats, I let 'er rip with the garden hose and remove most of the aphids that way.
Mostly, however, my populations are controlled by beneficial insects, such as Lacewings, parasitic wasps and Hoverflies.
I don't usually act unless necessary, before numbers get too ridiculous.
