Okay I finally heard back from BAMONA. All of the species except one where as we all, or Larry :), thought.

What we thought was the mormon fritillary came back as Speyeria aphrodite (Aphrodite Fritillary). Interestingly this ID placed it on my regional checklist where it wasn't before.

While this is the pic I submitted it was the same butterfly as I posted. I just had so many out of focus on this flower I didn't pay attention to them all.

The butterfly of interest, the northern or pearl crescent, came back exactly as Larry had ID'd, the Northern Crescent (Phyciodes cocyta).
