My 6 year old granddaughter had her first butterfly to emerge from the chrysalis. Our garden is full of Gulf Fritillaries and we have lots of native Passifloras growing there so at any time there are several dozen Gulf Fritillary caterpillars. So, I helped her put some some leaves and a caterpillar in her bug box and I made sure that she added fresh leaves every day. She called yesterday afternoon very excited that she had a butterfly. She brought it down and we released it. Now she has seen the whole process.
