When they eclose - question

I have 8 chrysalides that are almost a week old. (Lost 2 cats at about 5 days, 1 formed its J, but never its chrysalis, and one chyrsalis dropped the first night after forming, but made a green splat and didn't survive.)

I've read the FAQ on raising them and also the monarchwatch.org info, but still have one question. They're in three cages (2/3/3) made from tomato cages. Between the frame of the cage and their empty chrysalides will they be sure to have places to dry their wings, or would I be better off putting something else in the cages?

Don't the cages have some type of fabric/screening around the tomato cage? The butterflies can crawl up that if they need something to climb on.

Yes, they do. I just wasn't positive they'd cling to that. I guess I'm all set - thanks!!
