| We have some Giant Swallowtail caterpillars going to hatch but have nothing but rue to raise them on, which they don't seem to do too well on. White Sapote is supposed to be one of the best foods, but we have no way to get a plant with enough leaves. (I just posted in another forum here asking if anyone had any to spare).
It may be be possible to get a small hoptree (wafer ash), but to buy one would probably be much too expensive. I am wondering if anyone has any experience with GS cats on White Sapote? I only know that rue isn't the best choice for them. Wild Lime is a standard, but there were studies that said they did much better on White Sapote. (Wafer ash wasn;t figured in to the mix, so I dont know how that compares, relatively). |

| If you live near Delaware County, Riverside Native Trees has very leafy wafer ashes for $20. I might have to go back for another one because I have so many GSTs right now. |
