So pretty!

I found several buckeye cats in my 'meadow' but I'm raising too many cats now to bring any more in.

Maybe you'll find some cats to raise!

I checked my Toadflax and found damage, no cats, so I'm guessing the two I saw came from those plants. I also have a lot of Plantain growing around the yard.
I also saw a couple of Ladies, one American and one Painted.
It's been a busy couple of days in the garden, and I can't always get a photo:(
I've had a Hummer, a Hummer Moth (White Lined), BSTs and Monarchs, plus a couple of skippers. It's kind of sad that Fall's one its way...

Yes, for those of us who entertain ourselves with nature, Fall is a bit depressing, but I'm so tired from hauling in leaves for my many cats, I think I'll enjoy the rest! :)

Right after I posted the above post, I went out to the meadow and got some sweetgum leaves from a young tree where the meadow meets the woods. There are buckeye cats EVERYWHERE out there, nearly every Agalinis plant has one on it. I also saw a buckeye laying an egg on one of the few vacant plants. I got her picture, but it was too blurry to post.

I also saw the cutest little male checkered skipper and little yellow. I love the big butterflies, but the little ones are charming!
