I'm going to do tons of swamp milkweed and dill in pots to help raise the Monarchs and BSTs more conveniently. The female Monarchs seem to prefer the seedlings for laying eggs, and I've had my best luck with BSTs on dill.

I am definitely going to add liatris of some sort...we'll be extending our fence line garden next year, so I'm planning on adding areas for more dill and fennel, and more nectar plants - hopefully some things that are native to my area. I'd like to add some asters, more phlox, and whatever else strikes my fancy.

I'd like to give Liatris ligulistylis (aka Monarch Magnet) a second try, since my first attempt was a failure. I should have sown them in the fall instead of winter. I want to see if some crushed Purple Milkweed seeds I got through a trade last fall will still germinate, or try to find seeds. These are not easy to find. I have some other seeds in the fridge I didn't get the chance to grow last year that I'll sow this year, and there are some others I want to purchase, but I have no idea where to plant them. My beds are full, unless I make new ones, but my boyfriend I think is getting tired of all these new beds popping up everywhere. So what's a plantaholic going to do? Expand on existing beds!

I have a bunch of potted pink swamp milkweeds that I simply need to discard. They've looked horrible for 3 years now, and they're taking up too much valuable space. I'll be replacing them with seed I harvest from my white swamps. I also have other milkweed seeds that I purchased last year but was too lazy to winter sow.
