Hi! I have lots of flowers and would like to cut plenty to enjoy indoors. BUT I like to keep as many as possible out in the garden for the butterflies, goldfinches, etc.

Last year when Hurricane Sandy hit we had several finches that seemed grateful to have a place to rest and feed due to my allowing plenty of flowers to go to seed.

My question is, what are the odds that there are still migrating butterflies who may need my garden still? I don't want to cut flowers they still need for food, resting, etc.
