Thank you, thank you Ron for posting your pictures and the link. I just LOVE the unique plants of the Florida panhandle! Actually, you and I both live in what used to be the Florida panhandle, West Florida, that is.

I've only seen a Catesby lily in the wild once, in Harrison County, MS, north of Gulfport many years ago. I couldn't quit looking at it!
The article says it depends on fire. They do a good bit of burning around here, so you'd think it would be growing here somewhere. I need to get out more and look!
