Gorgeous pictures, Ron! Newly emerged male gulf frits look red from a distance, and even close up, they look a brilliant reddish orange. I 'ooh' and 'aah' every time I see one.

That's amazing how you got that picture of the hummer. I can never get any picture of them, they fly off so fast. But I've sure got plenty of them here now, I just changed their sugar water as a matter of fact.

Sweet shots! If you can photograph a hummer, you can shoot any professional sport. They have to be one of the hardest creatures to photograph, even a bullet has a predictable path!

Very, very good photos, Ron!

I have a "sport" setting on my camera, which takes action photos very nicely. I did this at Kenna's school one day when the kids were playing soccer and got some fantastic motion shots. The only reason I haven't tried it on hummers yet, is that I can't seem to get "close enough" to them for a good pic.

Well now you've got me wanting that plant but I doubt it would be hardy for me. I started some other liatris this year though.
