81 degrees, wow perfect :-) such a beautiful sighting yes? my first time seeing a monarch butterfly was like a religious experience, hehehe:-D that thing hovered over my head, and my life was changed forever.

The day the "Bug" bit me is when I found four fat caterpillars on my A. curassavica back in 1988. I had what was then a wildlife garden mainly for birds, squirrels, snakes and lizards. And some Passion Vine and Tropical Milkweed for the flutterbies...
Those 4 Monarchs changed everything! That's when I began Butterfly gardening.
My garden is still compatible c other wildlife, but I garden mainly for the major pollinators, esp. butterflies and bees.

Thanks, Lisa for reporting your sighting. I'll send it on to Journey South. The Monarchs are on the move again! The Cloudless Sulphurs are at peak migration here in NE OK. Everytime I walk by the Turk's Cap, a cloud of Cloudless rises from the plant.
